Fulaing (2023), Super 8mm
Fulaing is a Gaelic word meaning to suffer. It’s also the title of my short experimental film shot on super 8 analog film, and projected in the gallery. I use this word to describe how I feel sometimes as a mother, filmmaker, and human struggling to survive in the world today. Fulaing is a story told in a loose experimental style where various forms of adversity plague myself.
Throughout the film there are connections between myself and nature as I feel we are interwoven into one.
Feithid (2022), digital
"Feithid" (insect in Gaelic) is an experimental film that focuses on the smallest yet the most important things, insects. This film shows the beauty of all insects including the "undesirables " which are just as important as the beautiful butterflies.
Common Threads (2025), Super 8mm *In progress*
“Common Threads” is a feminist Super 8 film that blends craft, experimental cinema, and performance art. Using gender, labor, and movement through the city, the film explores the complexities of language, society, and the patriarchal systems that shape women’s experiences in different spaces. Dragging fragments of sewn words through public streets becomes a quiet act of protest, embodying resistance within the everyday.
